5 DIY painters palettes for when your in a pinch

Imagine your getting ready to paint your cooler, but realize you don't have anything to use as a paint palette. Well, turns out there are 5 everyday household items that can easily double as your palette, so you are ready to paint as soon you pull your COOLERSbyU cooler out of the box.

  1. Paper Plate
  2. One of the easiest items to come by in a home also doubles as a great place to put your paints. Once you are done painting you can simply throw it away for a fuss free clean-up.

  3. Piece of Cardboard
  4. If you don't have any plates, chances are you will have some cardboard laying around from a recent online purchase. Hey, even the box your  cooler came in will work! Try using the laminated side of the cardboard so the paint doesn't absorb. If both sides are uncoated, grab some plastic wrap or tinfoil and wrap the cardboard, then get started on your masterpiece.

  5. Old Picture Frame
  6. As an environmentally friendly option, you can remove the glass from an old picture frame and use it as a palette. When you are done, simply wipe the glass down with a wet cloth and some soap and reassemble your picture frame.

As a bonus, maybe you'll love the way the paint mixes together on the glass. Let it dry and reassemble into the picture frame for your own abstract DIY painting, reminding you of your time creating your COOLERSbyU masterpiece.

  7. Plastic Take-out Container
  8. Ordered in Chinese food last night? Did your sesame chicken come in a plastic container with a lid? Chances are, it did. Clean out your leftovers, flip over the lid and you have the ultimate reusable palette.

  9. Disposable Plastic Cups
  10. The ideal mini-cup for your mouthwash doubles as a holder of the perfect portion of paint. Fill up each cup with your colors or mix a new color to further customize your creation. When your done painting for the day, these cups can simply be covered with plastic wrap to use the next day!
